Orchard Manor is a skilled nursing facility serving adults in need of a short term rehabilitation stay or long-term residential care. The core of Orchard Manor is the people who live and work here- our residents, our volunteers, and our staff. Our philosophy is visible for all to see, in the stained glass window that proclaims “… Adding Years to Life & Life to Years…”. Like the tree shown with our name, Orchard Manor has roots that go deep into the community and form a firm foundation upon which to grow. Like the many branches of the tree, each of our residents is a unique individual needing loving care and a safe haven in which to live life to its fullest.

🎉 It’s that time of year again — Homecoming Week at Orchard Manor! 🎉
Let’s make it fun and memorable for our residents with a week full of dress-up days (see flyer below for details). 👗🎩🎨

Staff + Residents have Homecoming Games this Wednesday in the Resident Center-like we used to back in the day before the football game!

PLUS — we’ll be joining the Harvest Festival Parade in Lancaster this Saturday! 🍂🚶‍♀️🎺 Come cheer us on and celebrate the season!

Both residents + staff enjoyed! Some had never seen a sting ray before, let alone touch one!

🍽️ Big things are happening on the 700 Unit — we’re creating a brand-new Nutrition Room! 🎉 This exciting addition will be part of our classroom rotation, offering hands-on opportunities for residents to explore cooking, nutrition, and teamwork.

🛠️ Shoutout to our amazing Maintenance team who will be installing new countertops soon — it’s all coming together beautifully!

We’re currently accepting donations of kitchen items such as spatulas, pans, mixing bowls, and more. Every little bit helps build this space into something special! 💚

👩‍🍳 To kick things off, we shopped for and prepared our very first meal with resident assistance: creamy crock pot mac & cheese — and it was delicious!

👏 Huge shoutout to Activity Aides, for helping lead the way in making this dream a reality. More tasty fun to come!

🎉 Celebrating National Therapy Week at Orchard! 🎉

This past week, we took part in an exciting challenge every day to highlight the importance of therapy in improving strength, mobility, and communication. 💪💬 Here’s a look at some of the fun activities we did:

🚶‍♂️ Stair Stepper Challenge – Keeping those legs strong and steady!
✈️ Paper Airplane Flight – Who knew therapy could take flight?
🏀 Ball in the Bucket – Precision and coordination at its finest.
🖐 Paraffin Hand Dip – A soothing treatment for those hardworking hands.
🎈 Balloon Volleyball – Fun AND great for hand-eye coordination!

At Orchard, we’re proud to offer Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy to help our patients reach their full potential. Big thanks to our amazing team of therapists: OT Kelly, PTA Abby, Greenfield Therapists and our incredible CNAs who assist with restorative therapy to maintain strength and mobility every day. 💖
