Part-Time Nanny Position
Glenmoore, PA
Keystone Nannies LLC is seeking an energetic, dependable, and engaging nanny to support a warm Christian family and provide consistent care for their two boys (ages 13 and 10). Their ideal candidate is fun yet firm, able to balance authority with playfulness, and confident helping with social and emotional support as the boys continue to grow.
About Our Family
Dad works from home most days but has occasional overnight travel. Mom stays home but has tasks around the house and yard, appointments, and other activities both at home and away. The family is looking for someone who can seamlessly join their household and become a trusted, consistent presence for the boys - not just a handoff, but a regular part of their family, an extension of their parenting, with the time to give more attention and monitoring.
Position Details
Location: Glenmoore, PA
Children: Two boys, ages 13 and 10 with special needs
Start Date: October 13
Hourly Rate: $28-$35 per hour
Schedule
30 hours per week guaranteed, schedule to be determined
Typical schedule includes:
Weekdays: After school, approximately 3:00/3:15 PM - 5:15/5:30 PM
One evening per week: Extended to 8:00/9:00 PM for parent date night
Weekend coverage: Saturdays 10:00 AM - 5:00/8:00 PM and Sundays 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with occasional earlier or later hours depending on events)
Additional coverage: Holidays, summer hours, school breaks, and help when one parent is away
Extras: Occasional overnight or extended care for concerts, trips, or date nights
Flexibility required: Able to step in during family needs (school events, travel, church, etc.)

Essential Requirements
Special needs experience required - Must have demonstrated experience working with children who have special needs
Male caregiver preferred - The boys respond well to positive male guidance
Previous nanny or childcare experience with school-age children
Reliable transportation and clean driving record required
Current CPR and First Aid certification required
High energy, active, and able to have fun with the boys
Calm, confident presence - can set boundaries kindly and firmly
Flexible schedule - able to adjust as family needs shift and open to occasional additions to the schedule
Must be willing to submit to a background check and ten panel drug test
Preferred Qualifications
Educational background preferred - Degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Special Education, or related field
Experience with behavioral management strategies
Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and interventions
Experience providing social and emotional support for kids, including patience and guidance during transitions
Responsibilities
Provide after-school care and build meaningful relationships with two wonderful boys
Help with evening routines when needed (dinner, bedtime, parents' date nights)
Assist with screen time management - especially supporting transitions, helping the boys develop emotional intelligence, and building tolerance for starting and stopping activities appropriately
Work collaboratively with parents to implement individualized care plans and support strategies
Turn homework time into engaging learning experiences
Create nutritious snacks and light meals that the boys actually enjoy
Be creative in finding activities that capture the boys' interest and reduce reliance on screens
Transport to/from activities, school events, or family outings as needed
Provide coverage when one parent is away, and support during family travel, church, or summer schedules
Maintain open, honest communication with parents about daily wins, challenges, and observations
Keep play and learning areas organized and tidy
Handle transitions smoothly with trustworthy, safety-focused care
There may be some travel with the family - we welcome candidates who are open to this opportunity
