How come we are so quick to make changes in other areas of our life when we don’t see progress…

Yet every week I talk to someone else who has gone to the same clinic for years with little to no results to show for it?

Is 1 year old too soon to be snatching their ankles??

I think we just like to overcomplicate things.

Like everything, there’s a time and a place for this stuff but it shouldn’t always be your lifeline.

It’s just a tool.

Sure I’ll stretch/roll/do some mobility when I feel it’s needed but that is far from a daily or even weekly routine.

Let the weight room be your mobility session!

You are stuck in chronic pain because you have no idea what’s going on.

What triggers it?

How can you calm it down?

What can you do between flare ups to make them happen less frequently?

Is the real problem even in the same spot you’re feeling the pain?

You don’t need more tools and gadgets to turn things around…you just need to understand what your body is telling you.

Stiff hips are no match for a high quality hip hinge.

It’s simple but definitely not easy.

The shaking isn’t from weakness necessarily, just the body mapping out some new found motion!

Care plans can be great when used properly…

But can be absolutely catastrophic when done poorly.

A care plan should push you forward and allow you to progress from one step to the next.

Yet tons of offices bundle up appointments that end up all looking the same and call them “care plans”.

Which is actually the complete opposite of what a care plan should look like.

Your knee doesn’t work alone.

Your knee tries to make up for whatever your hip doesn’t have.

Weak at the hips? The knee will do more work to try and make up for it.

Stiff at the hips? The knee will see what mobility it has to offer.

Which is why so many athletes still feel off after surgery.

Don’t skip hip strength & mobility if you want a full recovery!

Have you ever gotten this vibe from your doctor?

Like maybe they aren’t exactly sure what they are talking about, at least when it comes to an active injury.

Typically they will give you an overly precautious recommendation like, “I would stop doing that if it hurts” or “never squat below 90 because it’s bad for your knees” or even “lifting is dangerous”.

Weight training is great.

Exploring range of motion is great.

Doing stuff that hurts can sometimes be beneficial.

Quitting all activity is not.
