Resident June has been diligently working on this marvelous painting! 🎨👏💕

She says it is finally complete, and a frame has been added. June says her painting "Moving Mountains" is just another one of her happy accidents. These pictures do not do the painting justice! The texture of the painting is what kept her moving and driven to complete this ultramarine mountainscape.

What a stunning and beautiful piece of work! June, you are truly talented and it is an honor to share your gift with our community.

We are once again honored to host our annual Cook Out for a Cause & Silent Auction to benefit someone in need in our community.

This year, the fundraiser will benefit Misty Koeller, who works at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She and her husband, Brian, are the proud parents of two young children. Misty is battling terminal Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer.

The event will be held from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Sept. 12. All proceeds will benefit Misty and her family through this very difficult time. Meals will be $7 each and include a burger or hot dog, chips, water, and cookie. You will be able to purchase treats from Udder Brothers' Creamery at an additional cost.

We are still seeking items for the silent auction (due by Sept. 10), as well as cash and check donations. Both can be dropped off at the center. For questions, call Erin Walz or Sierra Sanger at (608) 723-4143.

Helen's 100th birthday celebration was one for the books! 🥳

The birthday queen was beaming with excitement when she saw her decorations and huge cake. 🎂🎈

Her two children, Bob and Patti, and their spouses joined us to enjoy the day. When Helen was asked about her photo board that her kids put together, she said "That's it. That's my life."

What an honor to celebrate this milestone with Helen. Here's to another wonderful year of love, laughter, and memories! ♥

For National Dog Day, we need to give a big "woof out" to Arlo! 🐾

Arlo is a certified therapy dog who comes to work most days with his mom, Director o Nursing Sierra. He enjoys visiting residents, staff, and visitors all day, and getting lots of treats.

Some of Arlo's favorite commands are sit, lay down, and shake, but we all know he would do just about anything for some pats and treats! Something Arlo is not so fond of is hats.

Thank you Arlo for all of the joy you bring our center! You are all around good boy and we are so honored to celebrate you! ♥🐶😊
