We are once again honored to host our annual Cook Out for a Cause & Silent Auction to benefit someone in need in our community.

This year, the fundraiser will benefit Misty Koeller, who works at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She and her husband, Brian, are the proud parents of two young children. Misty is battling terminal Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer.

The event will be held from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Sept. 12. All proceeds will benefit Misty and her family through this very difficult time. Meals will be $7 each and include a burger or hot dog, chips, water, and cookie. You will be able to purchase treats from Udder Brothers' Creamery at an additional cost.

We are still seeking items for the silent auction (due by Sept. 10), as well as cash and check donations. Both can be dropped off at the center. For questions, call Erin Walz or Sierra Sanger at (608) 723-4143.

A HUGE thank you to Angel Ackerman, RN, for bringing her family of racers by the facility on their way to race at the Grant County Fair- Wisconsin. Residents enjoyed receiving checkered flags, snacking on cookies and juice, and asking lots of questions about the safety precautions for the drivers.

We have a very special birthday coming up! Helen is turning 100 on Aug. 28! Helen's wise life advise is, "Live life to the fullest, and to always cherish family memories."

Thank you to our MDS nurse Pam Schultz for sharing her garden fresh cucumbers. Our dietary staff was happy to make a delicious cucumber salad for residents to enjoy at lunch. Nothing beats fresh garden veggies in the summertime!

Congratulations to Kristina on passing your Wisconsin State Registered Nurse Boards! Kristina has been our Assistant Director of Nursing at Lancaster Health Services since July of 2022.

She helps keep our building safe and healthy by being our Infection Control Specialist, and working diligently on the nursing schedule to make sure all shifts are staffed appropriately.

Kristina would like to thank her family, including husband Tom and daughter Violet, for their support through this journey.

National Milk Chocolate Day was a sweet success! Residents enjoyed trying their luck at receiving a golden ticket in a Wonka Bar. We watched "W***y Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" and enjoyed popcorn and chocolate bars. 🍿🍫🎬

We are seeing blue skies!

Art is a great way to reach many of our residents' levels of ability. Whether they are a well-seasoned artist, getting back in the saddle, or like to have a finished product, our residents' artistic visions are supported at Creativity Corner.

Being given an outlet for self expression is something many people look for, they just need the opportunity and the tools to make it happen.
