Good windy afternoon Riders and volunteers.

We will not be able to ride today. The wind is awful and may get worse. We will be having unmounted lessons doing work on the equicizer, games and horse activities. Unmounted learning lessons are part of the PATH program and we try to make them fun for you! This is our last Friday of this session. We will be on break next week before the Spring session. The next session begins the week of April 7, 2025 and is again a 10 week session but will conclude June 21, 2025. We have added that extra week at no cost to make up for Valentines week !🤠

Winds gusting at 32 mph here in Antelope acres. Will be doing unmounted lessons in the white covered building. A little breezy in here but not too bad. Dress warm! We also have the equicizer!

We made it today. Rain stopped not much wind and lessons went on! Thanks to everyone who came!

Update on today’s lessons! It is currently doing a light drizzle off and on here. If we can get on the horses we will. If not we will do unmounted horse games and learning under cover. It is up to parents whether you come or not. We will be here. There is no makeup for today as unmounted lessons are part of the Path Curriculum. We also have the equicizer!

Good morning everyone! Todays weather forecast looks a little crazy. Calling for rain this morning but clearing this afternoon. We will keep an eye on things as the day progresses. Hope to have mounted lessons today but will keep you posted. A decision will be made by 1 pm. Updates are now also posted on our new page Saddle Up of the Antelope Valley. Hope to see you later!

For everyone inquiring about volunteering at Saddle Up here is more information.

We are located at 8628 West Ave E in Antelope Acres. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to work in the arena with the riders and horses. No horse experience is needed. We provide training.

Most volunteers start as side walkers working in the arena with the riders. Side walkers walk alongside the rider providing assistance as needed, offering encouragement and relaying instructions from the instructor.

If not interested in working in the arena other options are available like barn chores and grooming horses.

If interested please email to saddleupvolunteer@gmail.com. I can then email an application.

Best to text me with questions at 661-902-8352. I am often working with the horses and do not see Facebook until the evening. Thanks for your interest.

Our new program is still in need of Volunteers on Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 5 pm and Friday afternoons from 2 to 5 pm. Even if you can only give 1 hour that is appreciated. The program is run solely by volunteers. All our riders are individuals with special needs and they really look forward to their time spent with the horses! We can only accommodate as many riders as we have volunteers to help! If interested contact Sandy at 661-902-8352 or saddleupav2025@gmail.com. Our volunteers find the experience rewarding and fun! Give me a call and we can make arrangements for a meet and greet appointment. Our Equine therapist! They are so cute and each has a unique personality. Come join the fun!,,🤠
