We’re excited to introduce Scotlyn Geesey as the newest member of our Visiting Angels Lancaster family! Scotlyn brings 13 years of experience as a homecare on-call coordinator and is currently pursuing her degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography while raising three wonderful boys, ages 14, 12, and 6.

When asked what drew her to Visiting Angels, Scotlyn shared that she admires the way we place our clients’ needs at the very center of everything we do. She’s excited to be part of a team where every client is cared for with compassion and dedication.

Scotlyn values the flexibility this role provides, allowing her to attend school functions and cheer on her sons at their football games. She and her high school sweetheart recently celebrated two years of marriage, and in her spare time, she enjoys baking and helping out at her husband’s business.

💜 September is World Alzheimer’s Month — a time to raise awareness, educate, and stand together in support of those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as their families and caregivers.

The purpose of this month is to:
✨ Educate the public about dementia, its symptoms, and risk factors
✨ Advocate for research, care, and support
✨ Challenge the stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s disease

As we honor this important month, we’re also stepping into Walk to End Alzheimer’s season. This movement brings communities together to remember, honor, and fight for a future without Alzheimer’s.

Did you know that Visiting Angels offers Palliative Care training for its caregivers? The goal is to teach them how to provide comfort to clients who may be experiencing pain and symptoms and to properly care for those nearing the end of their lives. We work closely with our local hospice organizations to provide the best care to the clients and support for their loved ones. CONGRATS to our caregivers who recently completed this important training and to our amazing trainers, Lisa, Kate and Lori! They are all ANGELS among us! 👼💙

To make it even sweeter, Bill and his wife’s church choir joined in and brought a feast of Filipino favorites, turning the celebration into a true community buffet."
