I can’t even describe how much I love my job. Every time I get a call from a new client lead, my adrenaline kicks in. I almost get shaky with excitement, and my voice even quivers when I start explaining the connections. They usually don’t know why they were referred to me for Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT), and as I connect the dots between habits, symptoms, and oral patterns, it feels almost psychic. I’ll ask about things that could be related, and the parent is like, “Yes, yes, yes!”

So often, families have been to other specialists who never connect the pieces—because non-holistic healthcare tends to only want to sell pharmaceuticals or bandaids. Instead of looking at the root cause, the focus is on masking symptoms.

That’s why I love what I do—I get to shine a light on the bigger picture, explain how things are tied together, and give families hope that real answers exist beyond a prescription pad.
