Located between Charlotte, North Carolina and Lancaster, South Carolina, Rebound Behavioral Health is a 42 bed hospital that provides inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment for adults aged 18 years or older. Focusing on the strengths, values, and unique needs of each patient, the programs offered at Rebound aim to promote recovery from patients’ initial stabilization to discharge and beyond. This comprehensive approach to programming is proven to be effective in treating mental illnesses and chemical dependency issues. Furthermore, Rebound’s programs are group-focused, so patients are able to learn from other patients who are also navigating through the recovery process. This additional aspect of Rebound’s programs, in conjunction with ongoing support from expert staff, is what makes Rebound an extremely encouraging place to work on healing.

🌟 Inside Rebound: Leadership Spotlight 🌟

We are proud to introduce Jason Silvia, Chief Executive Officer of Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital.

Jason brings more than 18 years of progressive leadership experience across the behavioral health continuum, with a career rooted in service, advocacy, and program development for vulnerable populations. His work has consistently focused on building systems of care that are compassionate, accountable, and outcomes driven.

He began his career working with adolescents at the Robert Shell Juvenile Detention Center, helping young people process trauma and build healthier coping strategies. Jason later served as a Therapeutic Mentor supporting underserved youth in urban communities and contributed to su***de prevention initiatives through his service on the Executive Board of Samaritans.

As a Licensed Social Worker with the Department of Children and Families, Jason developed deep expertise in crisis intervention, family systems, and multidisciplinary collaboration while advocating for the safety and well-being of children and families.

Today, Jason leads Rebound with a strong focus on operational excellence, workforce development, and creating therapeutic environments where dignity, safety, and measurable outcomes guide every decision. He is passionate about strengthening behavioral health services and ensuring every patient and family receives the highest level of care and respect.

INSIDE REBOUND: Meet the Staff

We are proud to spotlight Marla Gresham, MSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer at Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital.

With over 38 years of leadership in mental health nursing, Marla brings an extraordinary depth of experience, compassion, and commitment to patient-centered care. Before joining Rebound, Marla served as Chief Nurse for Mental Health Services at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Marla holds both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Madonna University.

Alongside her leadership in clinical settings, Marla has spent over 12 years as a professor, teaching at respected institutions such as:
- University of Detroit Mercy
- Madonna University
- Davenport University
- Wayne State University
- York Technical College in Rock Hill (current)
Her academic work focuses on preparing undergraduate and graduate students for success in mental health and psychiatric nursing.

Beyond health care, Marla serves as the President/CEO of Gresham Tours and Transportation Services (dba Gresham & Son Logistics) in Southfield, Michigan. She is also deeply engaged in community leadership, serving as Treasurer of the Local Executive Board of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. and as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Her lifelong dedication to mental health, education, and community service reflects the very heart of Rebound’s mission. We are honored to have Marla leading our nursing team and shaping the future of care for our patients and families.

A First for Rebound!
This was an incredible experience and an excellent team-building exercise! Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital proudly entered the Indian Land Christmas Parade for the very first time.
Our amazing team came together and built this festive float in just two hours before the parade started—challenging, but so much fun! 💙
