Staying hydrated in the winter is important because dry, cold air can increase fluid loss, and thirst cues are less reliable.

Tips for staying hydratedDrink warm fluids: If you dislike cold drinks, opt for warm beverages like herbal tea, warm water with lemon, or broth, which all contribute to your fluid intake.

Eat hydrating foods: Incorporate foods with high water content into your diet, such as soups, fruits, and vegetables like celery, cucumbers, and leafy greens.

Limit dehydrating drinks: Be mindful of caffeine and alcohol, as they can increase urination and lead to fluid loss. Drink them in moderation and balance with plenty of water.

Carry a water bottle: Keeping a reusable water bottle with you, perhaps an insulated one to keep it from getting too cold, can serve as a constant reminder to sip throughout the day.
