ld Medical Center. Since 1948, more than 20 TWIG groups have been formed to support the Center. Many volunteers donate their time and talents to assist patients, visitors and staff. The Volunteer Chaplain Program, formed in 1977 and comprised of area ministers, supports the spiritual needs of patients. As a not-for-profit healthcare facility, Fairfield Medical Center is committed to providing medically necessary treatment to persons in need, regardless of their ability to pay.

My oldest graduated from Project Search today! Project Search is a fantastic option for students with disabilities to get extensive job training after their senior year of high school. Harry spent the year taking part in a variety of internships at Fairfield Medical Center. Such an incredible experience for him. I cannot say enough good things about Project Search!

Every May, we honor oncology nurses and advanced practice providers for the hope they nurture and the strength they inspire. This year’s theme, Growing Hope, Inspiring Strength, honors the vital role these outstanding humans play in helping hope flourish during life’s most challenging moments.

Oncology nurses and APPs are professionals who treat cancer patients or those at risk of developing cancer. They work with physicians and other medical professionals to prevent, diagnose, treat, and manage cancer symptoms and provide palliative care. Oncology practitioners also provide emotional support and companionship, as well as education on cancer terminology, symptoms, and how to live a healthy lifestyle while undergoing treatment and into survivorship.

Looking for a goose to grace your front porch? Last week, Wishes Gift Shop received another shipment of Giddy the Goose Metal Porch Statues. These whimsical decorations have been a hit in Wishes, with the first shipment completely selling out. The geese sell for $56.99 each and fun outfits can be purchased for an additional $16.99- $19.99 each. Make sure to grab your Giddy before its gone!
