As many of you already know, I have made the difficult decision to close my Nelsonville office and will be full time in the Lancaster office beginning next week. My fathers retirement last year as well as my own family commitments with children now ages 7, 8 & 10 has made it difficult to keep up with 2 locations.
Today was an emotional last day in Nelsonville. I am forever grateful for the last 20 years that I have had the pleasure of working in this community.
I have been very touched by the support I have received in Nelsonville since making this announcement and am grateful that so many will be following me to my Lancaster office.
My father, Dr Garry Boyd, started his business in this office in 1979. We both have truly enjoyed getting to know so many wonderful people in the community. Nelsonville will always hold a special place in our hearts. We THANK YOU, Nelsonville, for always treating us like one of your own!

We hope this message finds you and your family in good health. As you may have heard, Governor DeWine authorized the opening of all Dental Offices in Ohio effective May 1, 2020.
Our office has always strictly followed recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Ohio State Dental Board. We have been following all of these agencies so we are up to date on all NEW rulings and guidance and have been busy preparing our office in preparation to re-open. We had a staff meeting yesterday to discuss all of the new guidelines and we are excited to get back to work.
We will begin seeing patients on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Our schedule will be very limited as we will be spacing out appointments to accommodate the necessary requirements. This will also allow us time to continue to increase our inventory of the very hard to find but necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
We will be following the Governor’s mandate that all employees in our office will wear a mask at all times and we ask that you provide us the same courtesy and put your mask on before entering the building.
We will be contacting you in the coming weeks to reschedule appointments missed during the closure and we appreciate your patience.

To our Patients:
Our office policies regarding COVID-19 remain unchanged with Ohio Governor DeWine's recent 'stay at home' order.

The Ohio State Dental Board and Governor DeWine have mandated that all elective treatments including cleanings, fillings, crowns, dentures and many are cancelled until further notice.

Dentistry is considered an Essential Healthcare Service, and Dr. Julie is available for dental emergencies involving pain, swelling or infection. If you are a current patient and are having any of these symptoms please call our office for further information and to determine if an appointment is absolutely necessary.

We are proud to be helping our community to minimize spread while keeping ourselves, our staff and our patients safe.
We are very grateful for your patience and we look forward to getting back to work as soon as possible.

To All of Our Loyal Patients:
Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio State Dental Board have mandated that all non–emergency or elective dental treatment be postponed until further notice. In an effort to do our part to keep the community safe during this difficult time, our offices will be closed for all elective treatment (including dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, etc.) until further notice. We will be contacting you to reschedule your appointment.
I will be available, as needed, for emergency treatment for our current patients of record. If you have a dental emergency (pain, swelling, infection) please call our office at 740-687-4484. We will review your symptoms over the telephone to determine if an emergency appointment will be necessary.
