This year, our staff celebrated Halloween with a pumpkin decorating contest! Who better to be the official judges than our residents? They voted for 4 different categories: Best Traditional, Most Spooky, Most Adorable, and Most Creative. We had some amazing and creative entries, so it was a tough race! Congratulations to our winners:

Best Traditional – Roger, Director of Nursing (Carved Boo)
Most Spooky – Jammie, Activities Coordinator (Carved Skeleton)
Most Adorable – Grace, CNA (Caramel Apple)
Most Creative – Shannon, Admissions Coordinator (Down on the Farm)

Our residents, staff, and visitors loved seeing all of the pumpkins this spooky season! 🎃

October 16th was National Boss’s Day! We took the opportunity to celebrate our Administrator, Brandon Reigle, who has been in his role for 10 years. We’re so thankful for his ability to create an environment where our residents feel cared for, our team feels supported, and our mission shines through every day! At Altercare Louisville, we are grateful for our outstanding Environmental Services team; Jake, Susan, Megan, Sam, Connie, and Sharon. Your dedication keeps our facility clean, comfortable, and welcoming for our residents each day.

Last week, representatives from Altercare Thornville, Altercare Somerset, Altercare Lanfair, and Altercare Canal Wi******er joined forces and attended the Fairfield Country Senior Expo. Jessica Martinez, Elizabeth Stevens, and Melissa Sheppard spent the day sharing information with nearly 300 attendees. This was such a great opportunity to represent Altercare and speak with the seniors in our community.

Recently, we were thrilled to welcome back Premiere Wrestling Alliance for our second annual wrestling event! The residents, staff, and families enjoyed snacks while they watched it go down. We had a great turnout and everyone had a blast.
