I cannot remain silent any more! Just since school started a couple of weeks ago, there has already been an obscenely tragic number mass shootings and deaths on school campuses across the country--not to mention the heart ache and pain suffered by friends and family of both the victims and survivors. It has been long enough since Colombine and Sandy Hook for us to realize that chained up doors, alarms, escape plans and security officers cannot address nor prevent the root causes of school and workplace violence. Prevention. It's time to begin that dialogue. Please. Here in So Cal, Kidz Managing Conflict, a nonprofit peer mediation training program can help. And so can I. I'm a mediator.
