High temperatures are expected through the holiday weekend, so please be prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.

A reminder that young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles. This is especially true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

📍Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center, 1200 W. City Ranch Rd.

AVECC provides residents with a free and safe way to dispose of up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds of HHW/E-waste per trip. Paint, oil, batteries and old electronics such as TVs, monitors, computers and printers are allowed. Business/commercial waste is not accepted.

Residents can also take home partially used household, yard or car care products for free!
