Residents and family members of Hamilton Arms Center took a virtual flight to the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean! Their morning began with “Pilot” and Recreational Life Enrichment Director Kim Sangrey welcoming passengers, ensuring they had their passports, a Mediterranean agenda, and education regarding mint. Mint originated in the Mediterranean. Everyone enjoyed fresh mint tea during the flight! Special thanks to Infection Control Nurse/RN Lyndsey Johnson and her beautiful daughter for providing the mint from their garden. Their afternoon ended with a skydiving adventure and parachute fun!

Residents and family members of Hamilton Arms Center enjoyed a fun day of snakes, lizards, spiders and mystical magical healing rocks! They learned the ancient meaning and symbolization behind the beautiful creatures- and understanding not to fear them. Snakes, spiders, and lizards are known for their primary energy, healing, intuition, awareness, and their ability to perceive hidden truths and the shedding of their "old skin" to make way for "new life."
A special thank you to our social worker Alex Barcio who presented the educational session and her reptile pets. What a fun activity for everyone to enjoy!

Nikko Oz’s flying monkey flew in and joined the celebration. Nikko visited resident's rooms, the activities room and worked out in the gym! The house was packed with residents and family members enjoying popcorn, soft pretzels, Wicked cupcakes and fresh homemade raspberry tea! The Movie/Theater Club can’t wait to see what their next "movie scratch-off card" will reveal! Great job Hamilton Arms team!

Hamilton Arms brought in the Fourth of July holiday with a special theme "Gnomes are our Guardians," reminding us to appreciate the beauty of our world and the independence we have to explore and appreciate the small things.
Hamilton Arms residents, families and staff enjoyed a week of magical watercolor arts, gnome ceramics and centerpiece creations. They learned about gnomes and their foundation, creating edible gnomes and snails from strawberries, muffins, taco shells, pickles, nuts and herbs. They enjoyed a garden picnic, feasting on a hot dog bar filled with a selection of toppings, sides, coleslaw, potato salad, and fresh Lancaster County watermelon for dessert. What a creative and FUN way to celebrate! Great job Hamilton Arms team!

Residents at Hamilton Arms Center enjoyed a day of nostalgia, "milking cows" and making flavored milk samples. Many residents grew up near the farms in Lancaster County and visited Pine-View Dairy which was established in 1971. Pine-View was a staple in all Lancaster County households. Generations of visiting and exploring the dairy farm were passed down from their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoying farm to table ice-cream and fresh flavored milks.
The cows are milked and processed daily, and freshly churned flavored milks and Ice-cream are processed on site. What a FUN activity for the residents to enjoy at Hamilton Arms Center!
