Residents and staff at Hamilton Arms had a fantastic time strolling down “Bourbon” Street. The festival was filled with vibrant beads, masks, jazz music, Mardi Gras bagels, colorful crème cheeses, and the exciting quest for the “Kingston” Hamilton Arms King Baby. Kingston brought plenty of fun and mischief as he cleverly hid throughout the day while residents and staff searched for him, hoping to win a bag of chocolate gold coins upon discovery.
The festivities continued as Hamilton Arms celebrated “Fat Tuesday” by serving traditional Fastnachts, Pennsylvania Dutch fried doughnuts, symbolizing good luck and the upcoming Lent season. Great job to everyone who pulled of this wonderful day!

THIS is dedication! The team at Hamilton Arms Center demonstrated teamwork through the storm, keeping spirits high and residents safe! Team members came together to cover shifts and stepping up wherever needed- even going as far as "camping out" to ensure shifts were covered and quality, compassionate care continued. All departments played a vital role in keeping daily routines running smoothly. The snowstorm also became an opportunity to create moments of joy for the residents with indoor activities and cozy snow day games, music and crafts. Rather than letting the storm limit the day, the staff and residents embraced it. The snowstorm reminded everyone of what truly matters- teamwork, compassion and creating joy, even in challenging circumstances. Hamilton Arms team, you are TRULY inspiring! Thank you for your absolute devotion to our residents and each other.

Meet Jenga and Waterfront!
Jenga is a bull elephant located in southern Kenya. Unfortunately, Jenga is on the endangered list due to poaching, as hunters seek ivory, which remains in high demand on the black market.
Waterfront is a male penguin found in Puerto Madryn. He is also on the endangered list, primarily because of climate change, melting sea ice, overfishing which depletes their food supply, and habitat destruction caused by mining, leading to diseases in their waters.
The staff and residents of Hamilton Arms have collaborated with Fahlo and SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) to make a difference. Together, they voted to adopt two out of nineteen animals facing extinction. Each adopted animal is a real animal, complete with a tracking bracelet and a birth card. Hamilton Arms will receive updates about their travels, habitats, and live cam videos, along with a 3-D map showing their exact location via the tracker. We take pride in supporting their conservation and protecting the planet's most at-risk animals and their habitats.

Today we honor the courageous and transformational Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.- Not just for his words, but for his courage to love loudly in a time that rewarded silence. His dream wasn't abstract; it was practical, demanding, and rooted in everyday acts of justice. May we remember that honoring him means choosing empathy over comfort and action over applause.

The staff, residents, and family members of Hamilton Arms came together to celebrate Emily’s remarkable 106th birthday. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Amanda Hoffman and Deb Galway, the Dietary Supervisor, for beautifully decorating Emily’s special birthday cake.

Emily was born on January 3rd, 1920, in Lincoln University, PA. She has one son, three grandchildren, and two sets of twin great-grandchildren. Emily enjoys starting her day dressed for success, showcasing her keen fashion sense and attention to appearance.

Every day, she can be found singing along to her favorite Big Band music, playing Bingo and 500 Rum, relaxing over a cup of coffee in the recreation room, or immersing herself in autobiographies and history books. If you can't find Emily, it’s likely because she’s out and about, visiting and chatting with others, or exercising in the halls of her unit.

Emily shares her secret to a long life with us: “Treat others as you want to be treated yourself,” “Be kind,” and “Don’t stress about things you cannot change or have no control over.” Such great advice for us all! Please join us in wishing Emily a VERY happy birthday!
