Advanced Practice Provider performs various duties to assist the Physician(s) to whom assigned. Assists with the examination and assessment of patients in the office-based setting. Performs various duties to assist during surgery.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Education:
PA degree and Pennsylvania license required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a physician assistant preferred.
Surgical experience strongly preferred
Ability to function independently as well as being a contributing member of the clinical team.
Demonstrated time critical decision-making skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examine, evaluate, and perform a comprehensive physical examination of the patient independently or in conjunction with a physician.
Collect and document patient medical information, such as medical history and physical examination results.
Order diagnostic studies to help diagnose and manage patient care.
Create a treatment plan that includes medication, physical and/or occupational therapy, diagnostic and therapeutic minimally invasive interventional procedures.
New patient, follow-up, and postoperative evaluation of patients.
Provide first assist to surgeon in orthopedic surgery.
Conduct inpatient visits on behalf of or in support of physicians.
Take call responsibility with support from physicians.
Perform other duties assigned by physicians and/or clinic management to support appropriate patient care. Support the level of customer service to which the organization is committed.
