Jacob Heftner was a young man that in 2008, was among 25 killed when the Metrolink he was on collided with a freightrain. The engineer was texting and missed a stop. Today the Heftner Foundation brings awareness to the dangers of texting and operating any vehicle. The foundation holds a blood drive every year to honor Jacob and help save lives.
