Thank you so much for following Gro's journey, from a small urban garden project to a fully fledged educational organization. I am deeply pleased to share that we are releasing the Gro Fellowship Manual for free! We are open-sourcing this book so that it may serve as your guide through establishing your own nature-based support group. This manual contains the tools needed to facilitate a Gro Nature-Based Fellowship in recovery facilities and the broader community.

This manual is offered freely, with the aim of eliminating barriers to nature as a source of healing. It is an evolving manual, so expect updates and revisions!

Going through drives to find old photos from the first year of Gro for the Fellowship book. It’s amazing what we did in the first year, and it’s grounding to read my writings from that time. I had put so much pressure on myself. Almost 9 years later, the organization didn’t grow in the way I expected, and there were many setbacks, pivots, and time when I thought it was all over. But it wasn’t over, and we are still growing. I’m so optimistic about what’s to come.

If you are dreading your social media feeds but can't look away, remember that the human nervous system is not designed to take in this much (stressful) information this quickly. Burnout, fatigue, dissociation, and desensitization can result if the stress continues. Allow yourself to take steps back for self-care now; we have a long road ahead of us.
