It's a new year! Sometimes we get overwhelmed with that thought and try to conquer all the things we've been neglecting....

It's a new year! Sometimes we get overwhelmed with that thought and try to conquer all the things we've been neglecting. And you know what? We often fail at change! The key is to start small. Our suggestions are this:

+ Wake up 20-30 minutes earlier. I know, it's cold and dark. Find a way to make it cozy, make your hot beverage, grab a book and read/journal. This sets the tone for your day!
+ Make sure you're getting enough water. Aim for increasing whatever level you're at! Don't jump to drinking a gallon of water if you're barely getting in 8 oz. Start small and increase over the next several days.
+ Grocery shop! Get those fruits and veggies in! Look for good quality proteins. Make simple meals (we love "snack plate" ideas). If the food you're eating isn't REAL food, how do you think you can fuel anything?! It may take a while for your tastebuds to catch up. Give it time. Little changes add up.
+ MOVE your body. This doesn't mean get a gym membership and go crazy. Start with daily walks. Add in a yoga session from youtube once a week. Stretch for 30 minutes one day a week. Don't try to be an Olympian! Just get those cobwebs dusted of your joints and muscles.
+ SLEEP! Stop the phones a few hours before bed. Make your room dark. Add in Magnesium supplements. Sleep is when your body heals and sorts out everything from the day.
+ DO something for yourself. Chiropractic adjustments are a great start! It doesn't have to be a beach vacation, but find something that brings you joy. Maybe it's an afternoon antiquing? Going on a hike? Browsing the local greenhouse?

Small changes really do add up! We're here to help and encourage you!
