Message from Yvonne Krashkevich, MBA – CEO Central Penn Business Group on Health
Hello to the Facebook Community,
For those of you who may not be familiar, The Central Penn Business Group on Health (CPBGH) was originally founded in 1984 as the Lancaster County Business Group on Health. The organization was created by a group of employers in Lancaster County concerned about the cost and quality of healthcare benefits. In 2017, the Board of Directors of CPBGH voted to change the name to the Central Penn Business Group on Health, and broaden the reach to employers based in Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York Counties.
Now in 2025, the organization in shifting again. Under my guidance and thoughtful evaluation as the new CEO, and with full support from the Board of Directors, CPBGH is taking the next few months to reset position and priorities. The primary focus will be on defining a business and sustainability strategy that will ensure a solidified presence in the counties, an enhanced value proposition for our members, and a more deliberate approach for 2026.
CPBGH will be shifting to a coalition model that better defines the alliance of combined action to more effectively: promote the voice of the employer through robust analytics, enable the sharing of evidence-based practices through the development of a Center of Excellence, and review/engage best in class point solutions to address the rising cost of health benefit coverage. This model will emphasize and enable more transparent conversations among employers, brokers, insurers, care delivery systems, and industry suppliers, with the goal of providing tangible benefits for our members and to better position our members manage the evolving healthcare landscape. While undergoing this transition, CPBGH will continue its education and networking efforts via communication, workshop, or roundtable discussion opportunities. We will also be offering a “Forecast Breakfast/Event” in the 4th quarter of 2025, to share our plans for future activities, events, and initiatives.
We have many exciting changes ahead, but we can't do it without your support. To our current members, partners, and sponsors, thank you for your patience and understanding as we pivot our efforts to better represent and serve all our key stakeholders. To those interested in joining our efforts, feel free to reach out to me directly for more information. Additional information will be shared broadly once we finalize our new strategy.
Also, please contact Lauren at lkurzik@CPBGH.org if you have any active membership/sponsorship questions.
Kind Regards,
Yvonne Krashkevich, MBA
