At the heart of DOC'S Ketamine Clinic is a deep bond between two remarkable individuals: "Doc" Goehner and Dr. Mastaw. Our journey began during our deployment to Al-Taqaddum, Iraq, in 2005. Shoulder to shoulder, we faced the daunting challenges of war, saving lives and forging an unbreakable friendship rooted in trust and mutual respect. Together, we handled over 1,200 trauma cases and performed more than 450 life-saving operations. We emerged from the crucible of war stronger and more determined than ever. While our paths diverged after returning to civilian life, our connection remained unwavering. "Doc" Goehner experienced the toll of survivor's guilt and physical pain, leading to his medical discharge due to post-traumatic stress. Dr. Mastaw, on the other hand, continued his journey in the medical field, specializing in pain management through a fellowship at the prestigious University of Michigan. Our individual paths converged again when we discovered the life-transforming power of ketamine therapy. Driven by our shared vision and the desire to bring hope, healing, and renewed purpose to our fellow veterans and community members, we established DOCS That Help. With Julio, our trusted collaborator, we created a sanctuary where individuals can find solace and embrace a brighter future. Our dynamic collaboration integrates "Doc's" profound understanding of the challenges faced by veterans and survivors, Dr. Mastaw's extensive medical expertise in ketamine therapy, and Julio's experience in exceptional mental health care. At DOCS, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support to those battling anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress.
