It isn’t surprising that sometimes you all fall behind. This is where we come in! We sponsor annual meetings for both the professional and the student. At these meetings we combine the best in up-to-date information as well as bringing in the manufacturers of Nuclear Medicine equipment and products so you can keep current on new advances. In addition, we monitor state and national governmental legislation that affects us and our profession as well as coordinate with national and regional societies that are affiliated with Nuclear Medicine. The FNMT is pleased to support the enactment of HB.309 and S.376 that provides for the recognition of radiologic technologists who have completed a specialty certification. This will be a positive impact on technologists who perform PET/CT. Please send emails/letters to Representative Jose Oliva and Senator Anitere Flores, sponsors of the bill, also House Speaker Dean Cannon and Representative Denise Grimsley (House Appropriations Chair) expressing your support. The Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control and Radiologic Technologist Licensure Program has always worked closely with the FNMT to ensure that regulations for professional licensure accommodates future growth and developments.
