Explore Retirement Living is less than a week away on Saturday, October 18th from 10 AM to 3 PM. This is a great opportunity to tour the 17 Life Plan communities, see their amenities first-hand, set foot in an apartment and/or cottage, taste the food, and interact with other residents. If you need help interpreting the information or didn't get to all the communities you had hoped to visit, I'm here to help. “ I began working with Jessica fall of 2024 when faced with finding a retirement setting for a family member to move to. I had no knowledge or experience and started with a long list of communities to investigate. I decided I needed help, if it existed and looked up consultants and luckily found Jessica! Jessica really took what was a mountain of a problem and turned it into a positive experience. Based on her lengthy background in this field she had all the knowledge and information at her fingertips. She took all the pressure and work off of me. She first explained the difference between the different types of facilities, and we were able to identify what best fit my relative. Based on that Jessica managed communicating with the selected facilities, obtained initial financial qualifications so we didn't waste time visiting facilities we were not qualified for, then set up appointments and attended walk throughs. Jessicas attendance during the walkthroughs were key because she knew what to look for, what questions to ask and was able to point out things I would have never thought of. After selection of the facility, she did the leg work all the way to the point of moving my family member in and would have even orchestrated that if needed and beyond. I think the normal thought process is that hiring a consultant is expensive and isn't affordable, but I found this to be very affordable and invaluable during this transition. I feel lucky to have found my way to Jessica as she again made a very difficult, time intensive and burdensome process into a very easy experience. I would highly recommend hiring Jessica to anyone facing the difficult decision to transition a family member to a retirement community.”
