Frederick-Dean’s Valley-Point Funeral Home & Crematory is proud to stand for local families with personal service, fair pricing, and a commitment that sets us apart as the only crematory in Chambers County.

With us, your loved one never leaves our care. There is no need to be transferred away to outside facilities or handled by unknown third parties. Every step stays with the team you chose and the people accountable to this community.

Owning our own crematory also creates pricing advantages for local families. Why pay more for outsourcing and added layers of cost when professional cremation care is available right here in Chambers County?

We believe families deserve:

Honest, transparent pricing
Continuous care from start to finish
Local ownership and accountability
The confidence of knowing exactly where your loved one is cared for.

The Alabama Board of Funeral Service encourages families to ask important questions about who performs the cremation and where it occurs. We welcome those questions.

You have a choice. You don’t have to overpay. You don’t have to send your loved one away. Support the hometown funeral home that invested in this community.

Driving in a funeral procession. It's important to follow certain etiquette and rules to ensure the safety and respect of the procession. Here are some guidelines to keep in mind:

Turn on your headlights and emergency flashers: This helps identify your vehicle as part of the funeral procession to other drivers on the road.

Maintain a safe but close distance to the car in front of you: Keep a reasonable gap to avoid crowding but stay close enough to maintain the procession's integrity.

NEVER let any car pass in front of your car through the procession at ANYTIME: It's essential to maintain the order and integrity of the procession. Do not allow other vehicles to cut in.

Always allow the immediate family to be closest to the funeral car: Immediate family members typically follow the hearse, so be sure to yield this position to them.

Obey all instructions from the police escorts and funeral home staff: Follow the directions of law enforcement or funeral professionals who may be guiding the procession through intersections or traffic.

By adhering to these guidelines, you can help ensure a safe and respectful procession, allowing family and friends to mourn their loved one without unnecessary disruptions.

In today's digital age, it's crucial to include online accounts and social media profiles in your estate planning. Consider the following:
Designate a Legacy Contact for your Facebook account to manage your profile after your passing.
Provide instructions for your digital assets, including social media accounts, in your estate plan.
Understand the options for memorializing or deleting accounts on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

With Facebook, estate planning means designating a Legacy Contact. In other words, you tell Facebook who should manage your account after your death (often a spouse, close friend, or family member). The Legacy Contact can monitor your profile by deleting or memorializing the account, accepting friend requests, pinning tribute posts, updating profile and cover photos, and more. However, a Legacy Contact cannot log in to the account to view private messages or remove past posts, photos, or friends.

Currently, you can only add a Facebook friend as a Legacy Contact. When you select a Legacy Contact, Facebook gives you the option to notify that person right away, which is recommended so that person is in the know about your wishes. To learn how to add a Legacy Contact, go to How Do I Manage a Memorialized Profile on Facebook? for some helpful tips.https://www.facebook.com/help/1070665206293088
