What a difference some tape makes.
This boy is an all-around equine athlete that holds his mouth, teeth and jaw in such a tense-filled manner, he gives himself pain and headaches. After some gentle myofasical release techniques and tongue stretches and releases, we applied some Hestaband by Christa Veinotte, Equine Massage Therapist tape with center stretch to his poll and Rock tape with the same application to his TMJ bilaterally. His eyes went soft with almost the first touch.
After re-evaluation and a ride with the owner this weekend, we will be able to check in to see if he was able to hold his release longer and more effectively.

I am so deeply honored to have been a speaker at the First Annual Equine Health and Wellness Practitioner Expo at Broken Arrow Ranch today. It was such an informative, supportive and welcoming event, where we all came together to share knowledge, experiences, education, and demonstrating the true definition of teamwork and camaraderie. Thank you to everyone who came out and a special thanks to Diana Olds and her staff for making this all possible.
Never stop learning, my friends.
Already excites for a repeat event in 2027.
Here is to continued growth and new, wonderful connection made in 2026.

I love learning and my fuzzy family encourages me to never stop.
Last week, I decided to practice some myofascial techniques on Sawyer...my well-deserving Saddlebred boy, who willingly stood and gave his honest reviews.
The pictures show his satisfaction!
Goals for 2026 include completing my KT taping certification, enrolling in a myofascial technique/Masterson Method course...and maybe a few new surprises!
Here's to another beautiful year.

Working and stretching cold muscles can be uncomfortable, and in some instances, painful and injury producing. With winter hard upon us, using the Weatherbeeta Thermal Therapy blanket to hold in heat during body work has been immensely important.
Weatherbeeta Thermal Therapy lines their blankets or coolers with ceramic fibers, which absorbs body heat, keeping it from escaping and allowing the muscles to remain warm and loose. It is a wonderful tool for pre or post work outs, walks, rides or during treatments. This company makes both equine and canine products, which come in both canvas or fleece outer linings.
Thermal Therapy during these bitter cold sessions is appreciated all around!

Koper Equine has a fascinating post this morning about referred pain. The body will sometimes process visceral pain by sending it elsewhere in the body. This is why it is so important to think outside the box and view the individual as a whole and not just its presenting complaint. Please go to Koper Equine's page and read the post.
Never stop learning!

What an honor it was to work on all the Standies who competed in the 2025 Standardbred National Championship this year...but now, we can say we worked on a champion!! Congratulations to Shake Baby Shake and both his riders! These dynamic duos, as well as all the equine/human teammates truly showed the importance of hard work, dedication and versatility of this breed.

Thank you to Broken Arrow Ranch for trusting your athletes in my hands...literally. Best of luck to all the teams competing this weekend.

A huge shout out to Erin Conley of Quiet Hands Equine and Canine Massage for all that she did in helping with our boys!!! We are feeling pretty good about everyone in their training thanks to her setting us up with the Therma Pulse Blanket, cold laser and her massage session on our boy to help their bodies in trianing!! If you would do all this for you why not for your horse athletes as well!! 24 hours we will be loading up for our Broken Arrow Ranch Journey to Standardbred Nationals !!!!

Now that Dillon has settled in and has been more active (living in a home setting with 2 other playmates and a split level house), we have started a slow conditioning and strengthening rehab protocol. We decided, with the heat spell, the best place to start would be walking and assisted swimming in the new therapy pool. Between sets, he loves sitting between the jets on the sun deck and blowing bubbles underwater.
Continue following this baby man's rehab journey, and contact us directly to see if your pup would be a candidate for hydrotherapy.
