Growth doesn’t come from sidestepping discomfort—it emerges when we can stay present with the tension between opposing forces.
Transformation is seldom tidy. More often, it feels like a rupture, as if something is falling apart just to reveal a deeper opening. Yet within that unraveling is an invitation toward wholeness. It reminds us that growth isn’t about avoiding what’s difficult, but about learning to hold the paradox: light and shadow, action and rest, masculine and feminine.
In meditation, the image of the Sri Yantra came to me—a sacred geometric form of interwoven triangles. It reflects this very tension: masculine and feminine, movement and stillness, earth and sky. To me, it symbolizes integration. Wholeness isn’t found by erasing differences, but by allowing them to coexist and interlace into something more complete.
Rather than splitting ourselves between extremes, what would it look like to soften into both—and begin the work of harmonizing and healing?

At the edge of change, comfort starts to feel like a cage.
In therapy, in creation, in life—we’re pushed into that uneasy space where the familiar no longer fits.
That’s where the real work begins.
We uncover what’s been hidden, face what we’ve outgrown, and let it burn.
Not for destruction—but for transformation.
Because when we release what no longer belongs, we make space for what does.
This is alchemy.
A natural process—just like evolution itself

Most people move on autopilot, reacting to what’s urgent instead of what actually matters. The hard part isn’t knowing that values matter—it’s sitting down and being honest enough to admit when your time, energy, and choices don’t line up with them. That kind of self-audit can be uncomfortable, but it’s also where real change starts.
What you’re getting at is basically this: clarity creates leverage. Once you’re clear on what actually matters to you, decisions get simpler, distractions lose power, and you stop drifting as much.
The tricky part is that priorities aren’t static either—they evolve. So it’s not a one-time realization, it’s more like a periodic reset.
If you ever wanted to make it practical, a simple version is:
What actually matters to me right now?
What am I spending most of my time on?
Do those two things match?
Most people avoid that last question for a reason.🙏🏻🤷🏻‍♀️😜❤️

Are human emotions, which are themselves embodiments of change and fluidity. Emotions are kin to waves, naturally rising, and receiving, if we allow them to, revealing important insights into each moment. They are a temporary expressions of the changes and natural flow of life moving through us. So when we resist our emotions, we resist the wisdom of life they have to offer.

Living art 😍 As an artist and Art Therapist, I aim to stay inspired and receptive to a wide range of creative expressions, understanding the value of this mindset in fostering my own creativity and motivating clients and others to tap into theirs. Thank you to the students of bucksccc for organizing this community event.
