We offer specialized treatment programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation and orthopedic injury as well as other injury and illness. Our rehabilitation programs are centered around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities differ from other post-acute options most notably in the amount of therapy offered and medical oversight provided. We offer specialized therapy, rehab-trained nursing care, rehabilitation physician involvement and disease state management tailored to our patient population. Helping our patient improve his voice, regain his strength, and rebuild his independence after a stroke reminds us why we do what we do. Bill worked tirelessly each day and every step of the way. Through teamwork in speech, occupational, and physical therapy, every small victory led to one big one — leaving St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital stronger, more confident, and ready for the next chapter. Celebrating his discharge home is a true reminder of the power of collaboration and resilience.

We would like to share some words directly from this amazing guy:

“If you ever have a stroke or recover from one, make St. Mary’s Rehab your rehab facility to recuperate. Great staff and the best facility for your recovery. Take it from me a former recovering patient who has the best of care anyone could ever ask for.”

Here at St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital, our staff go the extra mile to do what is best for our patients to support them along their recovery journey. It is always nice to be recognized but to have a patient’s husband pass along a military “Challenge Coin” to Becca, one of our Occupational Therapists, and to Shauna, one of our Physical Therapists, for their dedication to improving his wife’s functional abilities, is something we feel deserves to be shared! Thank you to all of our therapy teams for always doing what is best for our patients!

About St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital is Joint Commission and CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited and has received specialty accreditation in Amputee, Brain Injury, and Stroke Care. Our dedication to our patients has resulted in a multi- year ranking achievement from the prestigious Uniform Data System (UDS) elevating us to the Top 8 Percentile in the Nation for patient outcomes.

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital is the only free-standing acute rehabilitation hospital in Bucks County. Our beautiful hospital opened in 2014 and offers patients and families the comfort of 50 private beds and bathrooms. Easily accessible from Interstate 95 and the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Turnpikes, families also enjoy the advantage of free parking in our lot and taking in the serene grounds while walking the path around the hospital with their loved one. We service patients from Philadelphia, Bucks County, and New Jersey, and provide specialized treatment programs focused on the recovery of individuals 18 years of age and older. The patient demographic we most closely work with have experienced a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma, neurological condition, amputation, orthopedic injury or other complex medical illnesses. Committed to only the highest quality of care, St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital has units dedicated to Stroke Recovery & Neuro Recovery. The treatment team will be uniquely tailored to each patient's needs and will be comprised of a combination of specialists. Our clinical outcomes have made us a top performer in the area; we take great pride in the fact that we are able to send our patients directly home, rather than to a Skilled Nursing Facility, more often than other rehabilitation hospitals in the country. Give our Admissions Supervisor a call at (267) 560-1112 with any inquiries or to setup a tour!
