Dr. Katie Samsel is a licensed Chiropractic Physician in Pennsylvania. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL and had an established practice in Naperville, IL before to choosing to return to her home town of Yardley, PA. Prior to pursuing her chiropractic education, Dr. Samsel completed her undergraduate work in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to the traditional chiropractic curriculum, Dr. Samsel has studied the diagnostic technique of Applied Kinesiology (AK). Through the use of non-invasive muscle testing, AK helps us to identify a connection between a symptom and the underlying cause. This technique helps the doctor recognize a potential nutritional deficiency, an organ performance deficit, and/or a structural or emotional stress that could be inhibiting the body's natural ability to heal itself. In addition to more traditional manual manipulation techniques, Dr. Samsel utilizes gentle manipulation techniques including Activator, a low force adjusting tool, delivering a gentle but effective adjustment. Dr. Samsel is well versed in Kinesiotaping, a taping method designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process, giving support to muscles and joints without restricting normal range of motion. Dr. Samsel is also certified in Acupuncture and Meridian Therapy and Briimhall technique. When not in the office Dr. Samsel rows competitively for Carnegie Lake Rowing Association and FILO. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs.
