Commonwealth Oral and Facial Surgery & Dental Implant Center was started by Richard Shulman in 1973. It was originally located at 920 North Broad Street and was named North Penn Oral Surgical Associates. Dr. Shulman moved his practice to our present location at 2100 North Broad Street in 1977. At the time Dr. Shulman employed two nurses and two receptionists to help run his two chair office.

A huge thank you to Michelle Strange RDH - The Roaming Dental Hygienist for sharing her expertise and passion for elevating patient care and infection control. Her energy and knowledge made this day both educational and empowering!

Brianna joined Commonwealth in 2021 as a Surgical Assistant and now serves as our Director of Clinical Operations. She leads our amazing clinical team, manages implant, equipment and supply inventory, and oversees our digital scanning technology.

Passionate about patient care and team growth, Brianna is always looking for ways to make our systems more efficient.

A huge thank you goes out to the Dudhat Dental Group for inviting Commonwealth Oral Surgery doctors, staff, and their families to an unforgettable afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field! 🏈

From the behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, press and locker rooms, to meeting Swoop, checking out the Super Bowl rings & trophies, and pictures with the Eagles Cheerleaders—the experience was amazing! We even got to meet former Eagles players Todd Herremans and Jason Avant 🦅💚

We had the pleasure of hosting our 3rd meeting of the year for Commonwealth Oral Surgery Advanced Dental & Implant Study Club last night at the beautiful Blue Bell Country Club. 🌟

With over 50 members of the dental community joining us, the evening was filled with learning, collaboration, and connection. A big thank-you to Newtech Dental Lab for delivering such an insightful lecture on Photogrammetry—your expertise was appreciated!

The night was also bittersweet as we took a moment to say farewell to the ever-so-kind Dr. Rob Newman of North Penn Endodontics. Having worked side by side with Dr. Newman for multiple decades, it was an honor to celebrate his contributions and wish him well in his next chapter.

Here’s to many more evenings of shared learning and camaraderie within our dental community. 🦷✨
