“It’s not just about taking care of people; it’s about encouraging them to live a happy life.”
Taking the leap from working as a winery lab technician in New Zealand to owning a ComForCare franchise in Pennsylvania may seem like a big jump, but it was the perfect fit for Ravi and his family.
Ravi was always compelled to help others and serve his community.
“I’m a people-person, and I like to go the extra mile to help others,” Ravi shared.
In fact, Ravi was a former volunteer at a senior center back in New Zealand simply because he enjoyed spending time visiting with the residents, playing chess and putting a smile on their faces.
So when Ravi and his wife, Nipa, decided the time was right to move to the U.S. with their young son to be closer to family, stepping into a role as a ComForCare owner was the perfect fit.
Ravi couldn’t be more excited to hit the ground running and make an impact in his community. Nipa will be a resource and support as well. She worked as a caregiver in the past, so she knows what it takes to do the job right.
Topping the list of qualities Ravi values on his team is kindness.
“Kindness is the key. Everyone on my team should be kind and caring,” Ravi said.
While Ravi’s mother is now thriving, he spent many years helping her through tough times and encouraging her to be healthy and live her best life. The value of being able to be home during challenging times is something Ravi truly appreciates.
To Ravi, home care is about encouragement and living a happy positive life.
“It’s not just about taking care of people; it’s about encouraging them to live a happy life. Being able to stay home is so important,” Ravi said. “Caring for people in their home means they’re more apt to be comfortable and happy because they’re around their memories. You just can’t beat the comforts of home.”
