Dear Valued Patient,
We are writing to inform you of an important update to our appointment policies at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center.
Beginning January 1, we will no longer offer Televisits/remote appointments. All patient visits will take place in person at one of our office locations.

If you currently have a Televisit scheduled on or after January 1, your appointment will be automatically converted to an in-person visit at the same date and time.
We understand this change may be an inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize. Please know this decision was made with your health and quality of care as our top priority, as in-person visits allow our providers to deliver the most comprehensive care.

If you need to reschedule or have questions about your appointment, please contact our office by texting the word “APT” or by calling 703-729-3420, option 2. Our team will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in Comprehensive Sleep Care Center. We look forward to caring for you in person.
Warm regards,
Comprehensive Sleep Care Center

✨ Packing Checklist for Sleep Apnea Patients ✨
Traveling soon? Don’t forget these sleep-health essentials!

At Comprehensive Sleep Care Center, we know that staying consistent with your sleep apnea therapy—whether you’re at home or on the go—is key to maintaining good sleep and overall health. If you’re traveling this holiday season, here’s a quick and helpful packing checklist to make your trip smoother:

🧳 Sleep Apnea Travel Checklist
✔ CPAP or APAP device
✔ Mask & headgear
✔ Tubing
✔ Filters
✔ Power cord & extension cord
✔ Portable/travel CPAP (if you use one)
✔ Bottled or distilled water (if required)
✔ Backup mask cushions
✔ Battery pack (if applicable)
✔ Copy of your prescription
✔ Travel case
✔ Wipes for easy cleaning

💡 Pro tip: Always carry your CPAP as a carry-on item. Airlines consider CPAP devices as medical equipment and do not count them toward your carry-on limit.

🍷🍽️ Holiday Fun Can Disrupt Your Sleep — Here’s How Alcohol & Big Meals Play a Role

The holidays are here, and with them come festive dinners, treats, and celebratory drinks. But did you know these can have a big impact on your sleep?

Here’s what happens:

🔹 Alcohol may make you feel sleepy at first…
But it actually causes lighter, more disrupted sleep and increases snoring or sleep apnea symptoms.

🔹 Big meals late at night = restless nights
Indigestion, acid reflux, and discomfort can make it tough to fall asleep and stay asleep.

🔹 Both can make snoring and sleep apnea worse
Alcohol relaxes the airway, and heavy meals put extra pressure on your breathing.

Holiday Sleep Tips:
✔️ Avoid alcohol close to bedtime
✔️ Eat heavier meals earlier in the evening
✔️ Stick to your normal sleep routine
✔️ Stay hydrated and go for lighter snacks if you’re hungry late at night

Taking small steps can help you feel more rested—and enjoy the holiday season even more! ❄️💤

If nighttime symptoms worsen during the holidays, our sleep specialists at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center are here to help.

Wishing you a healthy, happy, and well-rested holiday season! 🌙✨
