Happy birthday to the Marine Forces Reserve! Make no mistake, Reserve Marines undergo the same rigorous training as their active-duty counterparts, and they’re called upon to support the Marine Corps during wartime or in national emergencies. Initially, it consisted of just 35 Marines when President Woodrow Wilson created the Marine Corps Reserve in 1916. It has since grown to approximately 100,000 reservists.

Veterans with Parkinson's Support Group, presented by the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, is held every third Thursday of the month at the American Legion Post 351 in Utica beginning at 2 p.m. The next monthly meeting will be on September 18th.
Monthly meetings feature guest speakers and provide a safe space to seek support and build connections within your community.

Michigan is recognizing Vietnam War-era veterans with a Vietnam Veteran Recognition Certificate.

This commemorative certificate honors Michigan veterans for honorable service during the Vietnam War-era and is signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Adjutant General Paul D. Rogers.
