It’s always going to be easier to delay starting. Your biggest excuse and your biggest reason to delay starting are the exact same thing: TIME.

It’s either: oh I don’t have the time for that right now

Orrr

I have so much time before I need to worry about that. I’ll start later.

Here’s the thing. Time never changes. You’re always going to feel like you don’t have enough of it, while at the same time, you’ll spend your life thinking you’ll always have time to eventually start that thing.

Here’s what I’ve learned: you create time. When you decide something is a must have, you will always find a way.

Until you decide that, there will always be something stopping you.

I don’t care who you are, everyone feels busy. No one feels like they enough time. We have to stop using this as our excuse.

You will always creatively figure it out if it’s meaningful enough to you.

The real question is: what’s it going to take for it to feel meaningful enough for you to actually create change?

There’s a huge disconnect and misunderstanding in what true yin/feminine energy is. All you see on social media are extremes and it’s causing a huge imbalance in the world and our lives.

We need to learn and practice yin energy to actually create balance and harmony in our lives.

This is the first time that I’ve ever truly explained my thought process on yin energy. It’s not well explained in any space that I’ve seen and our definitions for it sit too surface level.

It all starts with yin energy. That’s the center of everything and why it’s deeply powerful.

Let me know what you think!

We are hugely missing the mark when it comes to basic daily self-care. And we blame it on “not having time.” But you are never going to feel like there’s enough time. That doesn’t mean that you stop taking care of yourself.

But you can’t be this “wellness girlie” showcasing allllll the great self care you prioritize, but then you don’t eat throughout the day. Your idea of a meal is coffee on the go. You don’t prioritize working out. You tell yourself you’re going to start on Monday and then you don’t show up for yourself.

Self-care is doing the things that sound inconvenient in the moment, but that have huge benefits later.

That means noticing your body and the needs your body has.

It needs movement. It needs to be pushed to strengthen.

It needs water.

It needs nutrition.

Isn’t it time to stop giving up on yourself all the time? How often do you make a promise to yourself that you’re going to start something new and then you don’t follow through on that promise?

How long do you want to feel unhappy and frustrated?

Everyone wants to just blame their age for their metabolism slowing down and using that as a reason for why they can’t lose weight. But age is such a small piece of the puzzle-it’s basically negligible.

Your metabolism is more dependent on your body composition…how much body fat are you holding compared to how much muscle mass. If you have a lot of body fat, your metabolism will be slower. If you carry a lot of muscle mass, your metabolism will be higher.

Anyone (no matter your age then) can change their metabolism. If you change your body composition,
your metabolism will follow.

Stop blaming your age. Your age isn’t the problem. You can change at any age. I’ve shown this to clients over and over again. You can be in your 60’s and menopausal and still improve your metabolism.

I see this all the time. We are always trying to game the system. How can I get everything I want by doing as little as possible to make it happen?

The person who tries to game losing weight or changing body composition can’t get very far because you can only game things for so long. Food is only one piece of the puzzle. You can’t think the same thoughts, live in the same habits and patterns and somehow expect to see real change.

If you want to truly change how you look, it requires change on multiple levels-not just the physical shell of your body. You have to change how you see yourself, your thoughts, your everyday habits to become this new version of yourself.

Otherwise you will just see-saw back and forth between the old you and this “new” version that’s still the same. Become different. 🦎
