St. Paddy’s Day fun! Our community enjoyed a festive celebration filled with entertainment, great food, and plenty of Irish cheer. Residents were amazed by a special show from Jeff the Magician, followed by a lively happy hour. 🍀

The menu was just as magical — featuring Reuben sliders, spinach and artichoke dip, pretzels with beer cheese, and an assortment of cookies and cupcakes to top it all off. 🍪

It was a wonderful day of fun, laughter, and celebration shared throughout the community! Sláinte!

Our residents celebrated Pi Day (3.14) in the sweetest way possible — with a delicious variety of pies to sample and enjoy together. From classic favorites to a few tasty surprises, there was a slice for everyone!

🌶️🔥 Things were heating up in our community!

Our Management Team recently put their cooking skills to the test in a friendly Chili Cook-Off, each preparing their favorite recipe for residents and staff to sample. To keep things fair, the tasting was done blindly, and everyone cast their vote for the best bowl of chili.

After all the tasting (and a little healthy competition!), the results were in:
🥇 Nura, our Executive Director, took first place
🥈 Amanda, our CED, earned second
🥉 Amy, our CRD, came in third

It was a deliciously fun event filled with great flavors, laughter, and community spirit. Safe to say this competition was chili good! 😄

At Red Cedar Lodge, we are proud to host practical, educational seminars that help empower our residents and the greater community. These free monthly presentations are held in our spacious 5th-floor Lodge Room, bringing together experts and neighbors for engaging discussions on topics that matter.

So far in 2026, we’ve been honored to welcome speakers from several outstanding organizations, including the Alzheimer's Association Michigan Chapter, Get Em and Go Plus More, Michigan State University Research, Powerback, and PFCU. We’re grateful for their partnership and dedication to educating and inspiring the residents and friends of Red Cedar Lodge.

🎤🎶 We always love when Billy McAllister comes to visit, and his Sinatra tribute show did not disappoint! Residents were tapping their toes, singing along to familiar favorites, and even getting up to dance as the music filled the room.

There’s something special about live music — familiar songs have a wonderful way of lifting spirits, energizing the room, and bringing joy to everyone who listens. It was truly a fantastic time enjoyed by all! 🎵

Our residents recently enjoyed not one — but two wonderful lunch adventures! 🍜🌮 The group first visited Chen's Restaurant for flavorful Chinese favorites, followed by another outing to Acapulco Mexican Grill for delicious Mexican cuisine. The verdict from both trips? Great food, happy diners, and portions that were more than generous!

Outings like these offer more than just a tasty meal. Socializing and short excursions outside the community spark conversations and provide a refreshing change of scenery.

We’re already looking forward to the next lunch out! 🍽️
