When the digital art can't work until I get a new surface pen, we dig up watercolor pieces to finish. It's still pretty messy, but I'm very happy with how it's going.

FINALLY got this watercolor commission done last week.

What a long labor of love, this commission was. It took me way longer than expected, simply because I let my brain get the best of me - when I started this project, I had a crystal-clear idea in mind, and I got right to work. As I continued to work and add layers, life kept happening, I'd take a break and then have to pick back up and try to find the same excitement when I first began. Then came the critical self-critique:

Thoughts of starting over because I was looking through a perfectionist lense;
Thoughts of not being as talented as the commission price tag;
Thoughts of guilt as time kept going by;

But, with undeserved patience from my client, thoughtful and firm communication, and finally pushing through the s**t storm of thoughts, we finished this celebration of accomplishments!
