💥Recovery Friendly Workplace 💥

Recovery doesn’t stop at the workplace door—and neither should support. 💼💙 Creating recovery-friendly workplace policies helps individuals thrive, not just survive.

When employers offer understanding, flexibility, and access to resources, they help reduce stigma and create environments where people feel safe asking for support. Policies that prioritize mental health, substance use recovery, and work-life balance lead to stronger teams, higher retention, and healthier workplaces overall.

Advocating for recovery-friendly policies isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a smart investment in people. Everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, heal, and succeed at work.

Let’s continue building workplaces where recovery is respected and supported.

✨Why Is Community Connection Is Key to Long-Term Recovery?✨

Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens in connection. 💙 While personal commitment is important, lasting recovery is built through relationships, support, and belonging.

Community provides encouragement on hard days, accountability when motivation fades, and hope through shared experiences. Being surrounded by people who understand your journey reminds you that you’re not alone—and that makes all the difference. 🫂

In a strong community, setbacks become learning moments, victories are celebrated together, and growth feels possible. Healing thrives where people feel seen, supported, and valued. 💥

Recovery is more than staying sober or well—it’s about rebuilding a meaningful life. And that life is strongest when we build it together.

💙 What Is a Peer Recovery Coach? 💙

A Peer Recovery Coach is someone who has lived experience with substance use and recovery and uses that experience to help others find hope, support, and a path forward. They don’t judge, diagnose, or tell people what to do—they walk alongside them.

Peer Recovery Coaches help by:
✨ Listening without judgment
✨ Sharing real-life experience and hope
✨ Helping people set goals and navigate recovery resources
✨ Offering encouragement during tough moments
✨ Showing that recovery is possible

The difference they make is powerful. When someone is struggling, it helps to talk to a person who truly understands. Peer Recovery Coaches build trust, reduce stigma, and remind people that they are not alone—and that their story isn’t over.

Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all, and no one should have to do it alone. Peer Recovery Coaches prove every day that connection, compassion, and lived experience can change lives. 💪💙

The Holidays Can Be Hard — You’re Not Alone

For many people, the holidays bring joy and connection. For others, they can bring stress, grief, loneliness, or extra pressure on recovery and mental health. If this season feels heavy, please know that you are not alone — and support is available.

At Lifeboat Addiction Recovery Services, we believe recovery doesn’t pause for the holidays. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to take things one moment at a time. And it’s okay if the holidays look different for you this year.

While many places, including Lifeboat, close for the holidays, support is still available. If you or someone you care about needs support, here are some resources available through this holiday season:

Mental Health Crisis Hotline:
- 24/7/365 support, just dial 988

CMH Crisis Services:
- 24/7/365 in-person care
812 E Jolly Rd, Lansing, MI 48910

AA Central Office Hotline:
- 24/7/365 compassion from a sober AA member, (517) 377-1444

NA Marathon Meeting (24-hour Christmas meeting):
Start: 7 P.M. on 12/24/2025
Ends: 7 P.M. on 12/25/2025

Reach out. Stay connected. One day at a time.
You matter. Your recovery matters.

✨ Housing is More Than a Place to Live — It’s a Foundation for Recovery ✨

At our agency, we see every day how stable housing transforms lives. When individuals in recovery have a safe, supportive place to call home, their chances of long-term success increase dramatically. 🏡💪

Why? Because housing provides:
✔️ Stability — a consistent environment to focus on healing
✔️ Safety — protection from triggers and high-risk situations
✔️ Support — a community that encourages healthy routines
✔️ Opportunity — the space to rebuild relationships, pursue employment, and set new goals

Recovery is not just about overcoming addiction — it’s about creating a life where wellness can thrive. Housing is a core part of that journey.

We’re proud to connect individuals with the resources, support, and housing options they need to build a strong foundation for lifelong recovery. ❤️

If you or someone you love needs help, reach out. You’re not alone — and hope is always within reach. 🌟
