Let's chat more about inflammation 💥
We've already talked about some of the diet and lifestyle factors that can cause intestinal inflammation, but today we're going back to the basics to cover what exactly inflammation is and why it's harmful to your body.
Inflammation is your body’s natural defense against dangers like bacteria, viruses, irritants, toxins and physical trauma.
You usually feel inflammation as swelling, redness, heat and pain. When inflammation runs rampant, it can disrupt your immune system and lead to numerous health problems, including heart disease, arthritis, depression, Alzheimer's disease, and even cancer, which is why you want to do as much as possible to prevent inflammation from occurring.
