💙 Honoring a Life Well Lived 💙

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Kim Norman, a beloved member and Past President of the Michigan Transition Services Association.

Her dedication to fostering inclusion, advocating for individuals with disabilities, and championing the rights of so many made a profound difference in Michigan. She was not just a leader, but a mentor, a friend, and a source of unwavering compassion and strength.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. To honor her memory and support her family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe has been set up to assist with expenses and ensure that her contributions continue to inspire future generations.

If you’d like to contribute or share, every gesture—big or small—helps carry forward the kindness and generosity that defined her life. GoFundMe link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-kims-cancer-battle-help-steve-and-kim

Day one of the MTSA 2025 conference was amazing with a group of students presenting on a financial literacy project and hosted by the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (BSBP) and the Michigan Department of Education - Low Incidence Outreach (LIO). The students also took an active role in helping set up for the conference, which was their first work-based learning experience!
