Anesthesiologists are highly trained physicians with more than a decade of rigorous education and training. Dr. Anoop Chhina is the Anesthesiology Residency Program Director at Henry Ford Health and has dedicated her career to advancing medical education and quality assurance.



She is an expert in medical education research and a pioneer in resident skills training. Through virtual and augmented reality and point-of-care ultrasound modules, her residents receive hands-on training, becoming better prepared for emerging clinical tools and procedures.

This week, we honor a medical specialty built on innovation, precision, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety. Dr. John Mitchell is the Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain Management and Perioperative Medicine at Henry Ford Health.

The Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) is the non-profit arm of The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and has supported and developed future generations of physician investigators for more than 35 years.
