Lots of fun things happening around here!

Hi everyone! We know our page has been a little quiet the past month or so but please know we are still hard at work within the community! We have had lots going on behind the scenes!

-We moved our space! We are officially all moved into our new space and it has been so nice to start to see clients in it!
-The official Next Generation baby, Knox turned 1 year old on September 22nd!
-Natosha went to Chicago for the The Lactation Network Summit and WOW! It was an AMAZING and PACKED filled summit!
-In Chicago Natosha got to hang out with over 600 IBCLCs plus so many AMAZING Michigan IBCLCs!
-Natosha also got to go to the Field Museum where you see hand expression is something that was even being done THOUSANDS of years ago!

Be following for lots of new and exciting things! Also share our page with your friends!!!

For parents with older babies!

Babies are developing and changing at a rapid rate in those first couple of years. They transition from sitting to crawling to standing to walking. It is exciting to watch them progress, but it can also feel overwhelming. However, there are simple ways you can position, play, and facilitate your babies movements at home to help them achieve their milestones.

To learn more about these techniques, you can join us for this FREE virtual presentation hosted by one of our pediatric physical therapists, Ashley Koprowski, PT, DPT on July 22nd from 9am to 11am! Have your baby and toys around to play or just take in the information to play later. Ashley will be available for questions and support throughout the presentation!

This opportunity is geared for parents and caregivers of babies learning to crawl, stand, and walk!

We look forward to having you attend the event!

Advocacy Alert! A hearing is scheduled! Last fall, Michigan Senate Bill 351 passed the Michigan Senate, and now it needs to pass through the House Judiciary Committee! Michigan SB 351 expands upon the current Breastfeeding Anti-Discrimination Act of 2014 which protects a birthing person’s right to breastfeed in public to now include protection for human milk expression (i.e., pumping in public). This bill is essential to protect folks who may need to be outside of their homes for long periods of time without access to their child, such as parents with a baby in the NICU, as well as folks who exclusively pump/express milk for many reasons. The hearing will be on Wednesday, May 15th. Michiganders, take action! To learn more: https://mailchi.mp/mibreastfeeding.org/hearingscheduled
