These are some of the things I have been working on this winter. The wreath was for my Bestie, who has been volunteering at a ranch for rescue horses near Pleasant Lake, Michigan. I am happy that she found something that she enjoys so much and fills a need.

A few siblings who are friends of mine, decided to give me their Mother's old costume jewelry. They know I do arts and crafts, plus sell on Ebay, fb, etc. I don't think it ever occurred to them, that I might be able to revamp some of it, into pieces they could wear now. Surprise! The two sisters said they were thrilled when I was able to convert the double heart clips into two pairs of pierced earrings and thought other people might feel the same way, if I could do it for them. I told them I might make it into a side business. I am gradually working on the rest of the lot to see what I can create. Here are some before and after shots.

Memorial Day - Monday, May 27th is the day we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice

Flag Day - Friday, June 14th is the day we take to show our appreciation for Old Glory. No matter opinions or beliefs you have, she represents the symbol that you can live here and hold those beliefs

Veterans Day - Monday, November 11th is the day for this country to thank our veterans of the armed services who signed a blank check saying that they would protect this country even if they died doing it.

Made chiken alfredo with mushrooms and panini noodles, along with banana bread for elderly and sick relatives on Saturday. Delivered them on Sunday. Love being able to do these things again.

Life has been busy the past year or so and I have not been making as many things as I would like, but here is some jewelry I have done for myself or made to order. The red, white and blue set was made for a friend whose son is in the military. She gave me the star beads and asked me to have something done for her to wear for Memorial Day last year. She has bought several pieces of jewelry from me over the years, so I was happy to do something special for her.
