“After sacrificing so much for our country, our veterans and their families deserve access to lifesaving care, and that includes abortion services." – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel

Michigan AG Dana Nessel and 21 other attorneys general oppose a Trump administration rule restricting abortion services for veterans and their families, defending reproductive health care rights for those who served.

The Michigan legislature has just 3️⃣ weeks left to negotiate and pass a budget in order to prevent a state government shutdown on October 1. But once again, Speaker Matt Hall and his extremist colleagues are more interested in fighting culture wars than doing their jobs.

It's time for our legislators to stop playing political games and pass a state budget that serves the needs of the Michiganders they were elected to represent by funding our schools, health care, and vital services our communities count on. 💯

Another attack on medication abortion could soon be headed to the Supreme Court, with potentially far reaching impacts to telehealth abortion access across the country.

In a suit brought by Texas, New York Attorney General Letitia James will defend her state’s abortion shield laws, which protect health providers offering telehealth abortions to people living under bans.

"It is abundantly clear that an attack on one aspect of sexual and reproductive health care is an attack on all forms of sexual and reproductive health care. We cannot afford to ignore these attacks simply because they are happening quietly or piecemeal. The cumulative effect is a reproductive health care crisis in slow motion — one that demands urgent attention and action."

Access to affordable birth control is being chipped away through a series of incremental policy changes, legal rulings and funding restrictions that are quietly but effectively dismantling the repr…

Since 2018, Michigan has made incredible strides to improve access to the ballot box through ballot initiatives, legislative advocacy, and community organization. Those efforts have paid off, with Michigan achieving one of the highest voter turnouts in the country in the 2024 General Election.

However, there is still work to do to improve access to the ballot box. Read to learn more about how pro-voter advocates are taking action to improve voting access for Michiganders.

When we vote, our choices help shape the communities we live in and the future we believe is possible. Now, Michigan voters have more ways to vote than ever before and options like early voting mean that voting is more accessible. That is cause for celebration! Early voting is a great option for the...

After blowing past the July 1 budget deadline and ignoring weeks of calls from Michiganders to get to work for their constituents, Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall and his colleagues who oppose reproductive freedom suddenly rushed to pass a state budget earlier this week.

Unfortunately, the budget they passed in the House unconstitutionally excludes any health care provider who also provides abortion services from receiving state family planning funding, showing yet again that they're more invested in culture wars than they are in actual governing.

Contact your State Senator today and tell them to vote NO on the Michigan House budget that “defunds” Planned Parenthood and unconstitutionally threatens access to vital sexual and reproductive health care statewide: PPMI.org/no-defund

Join us in collaboration with our partners at Reproductive Freedom for All to discuss Menopause, Medicaid, and Reproductive Freedom!

• Thursday, August 28 at 3:00 p.m. in Lansing: https://bit.ly/3VhuLCC
• Wednesday, September 10 at 10:00 in Detroit: https://bit.ly/4mZQ3QZ

We are removing the stigma associated with menopause. We are centering mature people who are often left out of reproductive freedom discussions: menopausal people, and those who rely on Medicaid for hormonal health care, mental health, and sexual health. Reproductive Freedom doesn’t end at childbirth; it’s lifelong, and it’s under attack.
