This month’s ‘Ask the Therapist’ is brought to you by our St. Clair Shores & Mt. Clemens owners and directors, Caitlin Hall, PT, DPT (SCS) and Grace Wallace, PT, DPT and Brandon Wallace, PT, DPT (Mt. Clemens)
Question: Why does my shoulder click or pop?
A: Shoulder clicking or popping is common and often harmless. It can happen when tendons move over bones, muscles aren’t balanced, your joint is loose, or small air bubbles form in the joint.
See a PT if:
There’s pain, weakness, or loss of motion
Your shoulder feels unstable or “gives out”
Physical therapy can help by improving strength, stability, and movement patterns to keep your shoulder pain-free and active.
