Why do we need to be vigilant when injecting Lips? Because we know that filler doesn’t necessarily “dissolve” in patients over time. While some of it can dissolve very slowly, most of it just shifts around in areas of high movement like the lips. 👄

It was clear by the fullness ABOVE this patients upper lip that there was migrated filler. It was explained that adding more Lip Filler to this top lip would not result in preferable outcomes. A dissolving session was accomplished. The after photo here demonstrates one week healed.

Yes, the lip lines are now more evident due to no longer having as much filler in that Philtrum. But end result is a more natural-looking appearance.
Yes, there is also still the risk that more filler in the top lip itself could still migrate. So judicious use of any further filler is very crucial.
