Last week I visited the high school to drop off the applications for the 1st Annual Lily Lynette Furneaux Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to all graduating seniors from the Lapeer High School Class of 2026 with a minimum GPA of 2.5. One recipient will be awarded a total of $5,000, distributed evenly each year over the course of their degree.

Walking back to my car was incredibly emotional. This shouldn’t be something we're doing. She should be here—applying for her own scholarships, finishing her finals, and deciding where her next journey will take her.

This scholarship challenges students to research the signs and statistics of child abuse and write an essay about what they learn and how they plan to carry that knowledge into their future. Applicants will also create a video project—such as a vlog, commercial, awareness campaign, or educational video—to help spread awareness.

Our goal is to educate these seniors about the dangers of child abuse, how to recognize it, and how to help prevent it. We want them to be a voice for the other Lilys in this world.

If you have a graduating senior at Lapeer High School, please encourage them to apply for Lily’s scholarship. Together, we can keep Lily’s legacy alive—and help save the next Lily.

Yesterday, our team installed this beautiful 9-foot cremation memorial; a lasting tribute designed to hold three slant memorials in honor of Joan & Roger, Charlie, and Ant. 💛

Each piece represents a life deeply loved and remembered, coming together in one place of peace and connection.

It was an honor to help create something so meaningful for this beautiful family.

Created in memory of a beautiful soul, Julie “Jules” Plessinger, this cremation bench is made from Jet Black granite and has a custom, hand-carved angel sitting on the bench. ❤😇

Not only is it a stunning tribute, but it also holds loved ones cremains, making it both meaningful and functional.
