Founded in 2018 by the mother of a child with autism, Journey has grown with 2 facilities in Lapeer County and we offer families quality services through our highly trained staff. At JTC, we understand that each child is unique and we cater all of our programming individually to each child. Every patient is carefully evaluated to determine his or her areas of strength and weakness. At that time, a one-of-a-kind therapy plan is developed and implemented by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts. At JTC, we walk with families through every step of the Autism journey!

At Journey Therapy Center, we believe growth and learning aren’t just for our clients, they’re important for us, too! 💙

Our amazing staff recently spent the day connecting with each other and refining their problem-solving skills through team-building games and training focused on teamwork and conflict resolution.

We're halfway through September already! Let's explore some ways to help make the school year smoother.

It all begins with a bright start to the day, which can be tough for everyone. A solid routine makes it easier to get up and go, without struggles. You can make it even easier by choosing clothing, packing a lunch, and making sure everything is in your backpack the night before.

Routines can be especially helpful for some kids on the autism spectrum, because they like to know what to expect, leading to calmer mornings.

It's back to school time, so kids are out at the bus stops, walking home, and more.

We must work together as a community to keep our kids safe, and that means keeping an eye out for kids at bus stops and crossing the road, and also paying attention to the warning lights on the school buses as they stop to pick up and drop off students.

We at Journey Therapy Center wish everyone a safe, happy, and healthy 2025-26 school year!
