We're excited to announce our super fun Art Club designed just for preschool-aged kids is returning! Every week, children will get the chance to unleash their creativity with different arts and crafts projects. This is a great way for your little ones to explore their artistic side, while enjoying quality time with you, as parental presence will be required for these weekly sessions.

🥋 Big shoutout to our Y Taekwondo program! 🥋

Over this past weekend, our small but mighty team took on a tournament with 35 schools and over 200 competitors — and they made us so proud!

👏 Braeden and Juliette crushed it in the board break division, each earning 2nd place in the 9–10 year old boys and girls categories. What an incredible accomplishment!

🏅 In the forms division, Braeden placed 3rd, while Arianna and Juliette just barely missed the podium by fractions of a point — showing just how strong their performances were.

What makes this even more impressive? Many of the other schools train 5–6 days a week… while our group meets just 1–2 times a week. Their success speaks volumes about their hard work, commitment at home, and the top-notch instruction they receive from Coach Mike. 💪

Way to go, team — we’re beyond proud of you! 💙

💧Water Safety Tip: Mishandling pool chemicals can cause serious injuries.

Pool chemical injuries lead to about 4,500 U.S. emergency department visits each year, and over one-third of these preventable injuries are in children or teens. Store your chemicals properly and keep them out of children's reach. At the recommended levels, chlorine or bromine can kill most germs in the water within minutes. Check the disinfectant (chlorine or bromine) level and pH at least twice per day (and more often when the pool is in heavy use) to make sure they are within the recommended levels. This will prevent illness due to contaminated pool water. Take a pool operator course to learn more about maintaining your pool.

💧Water Safety Tip: Respect the water.

Barriers at home pools are the first step in preventing unintentional water entry- use self-closing and self-latching gates. Parent or adult constant supervision is the best way to prevent drowning in your backyard. Anyone can get into trouble regardless of swimming ability. Designate a water watcher anytime your pool is in use.

Recognize – recognize the signs of non-swimmers, tired swimmers, distressed swimmers and potentially unsafe situations

Education – learn what factors can lead to drowning

Supervision – direct, constant supervision is key

Physical barriers – provide fencing, safety covers, alarms and life jackets

Expectations – understand what to expect from the aquatic environment and the body’s response, know your limits.

Communicate – warn and inform, communicate the dangers that are present in, on and around the water

Training – learn to swim and how to respond to an emergency
