Throughout October, residents and staff are wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. United, we can spread hope, provide support, and raise awareness about this devastating disease. October is also a yearly reminder of the importance of early detection! Making sure to get checked for breast cancer regularly can SAVE YOUR LIFE.

Meet Gary Livergood, a current rehab patient at Miller's Health & Rehab. Gary utilizes our inpatient therapy program so that he can receive around the clock care and regular scheduled therapy to develop skills needed to be independent at home. From the day he arrived, Gary has been able to make friends easily and shares that the staff and patients are very kind to him.

In addition to therapy, he has also been active in activities, even joining residents for community outings. When asked about his experience, Gary shared, "I like it here because the people are so nice, there's lots to do, and I feel like I'm getting stronger every day." Way to go, Gary!

Our annual Trunk or Treat event is creeping up on us. Candy donations will be accepted up to the event date and are extremely appreciated. Our candy monster is hungry and ready to be fed! You can find him near the reception desk right through the building entrance.

World Alzheimer's Month is observed in September each year. It is important that as a community, we come together to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and provide support for those affected by it.

Miller's Health Systems offers memory care at many of our locations, including nearby at Miller's Merry Manor - Walkerton.
