🎉Way to go Schuyler and crew!

đź’šSome of you might remember, Schuyler came to the University of Wyoming last year to speak about his experience as the first publicly documented and openly trans Division-1 athlete, swimming for Harvard from 2015-2019.

📚If you haven’t read his book, “He/She/They”, we highly recommend it👏🏼

Happy Trans Day of Visibility from us at 7220!

Every year on March 31st, people across the world celebrate Trans Day of Visibility. Our visibility is powerful and when we take action there is no stopping us.

With so many attacks of trans lives and resources across the world, especially here in the United States, and even more in the state of Wyoming, being visibly trans has real risks. For those of us that are cisgender, it’s increasingly necessary to use our privilege to stand up as clear allies and advocates whether that’s politically, professionally, or personally.

For those of us that are trans and gender non-conforming, visibiliity and presence is one of the most powerful acts of resistance. In the words of our friend, Sara Burlingame at Wyoming Equality, “The world doesn’t need more q***r martyrs, it needs more healthy q***rs.”

Us at 7220 Counseling Coalition will continue to be a safe and visible presence and resource for our q***r and trans community members as we work together to ensure our trans youth make it to be trans adults, and that our trans adults are living lives not just surviving, but thriving.

Trans people have always existed, and always will. For our beautiful trans friends: What does your life need to look like today to naturally be part of and celebrate trans joy?

We love you. We’re fighting for you. We’re with you. We are you. And we aren’t going anywhere.

March 31st is Trans Day of Visibility. 🏳️‍⚧️

We are dedicated to building a world where trans and non-binary people can flourish, grow old, and be their authentic selves without fear.

On February 13, LGBTQ+ Wyomingites and allies will gather at the State Capitol in Cheyenne to make our opposition to harmful policies visible, undeniable, and human.

When we show up in numbers, lawmakers are forced to look at the people their decisions impact — our neighbors, our families, our communities.

We need you there. Sign up, bring a friend, and help us make it impossible to ignore our voices.

We forever honor the lives lost and living of the Cheyenne, Arapahoe, and Shoshone people as we share gratitude this Thanksgiving here in Laramie and all across Wyoming.

Chappell Roan isn’t just talking about change — she’s funding it. The breakout pop star has unveiled the Midwest Princess Project, a new initiative providing vital support and resources to vulnerable Trans youth across the United States.

Announcing the project on Instagram, Roan told fans she was “so excited” to finally share the news, describing it as “an organisation created to provide support and needed resources for Trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities.”

The singer revealed that more than $400,000 has already been raised through her Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things pop-up shows. Every dollar, she promised, will go straight to grassroots groups working with Trans youth — with only minimal fees covering transaction and management costs.

Beneficiaries so far include the Ali Forney Center and The LGBT Center in New York; the Trans Wellness Center and TransLatin@ Coalition in Los Angeles; and The GLO Center and The Center Project in Missouri — all cities that hosted Roan’s recent pop-up run. Each ticket sold contributed $1 to the fund, turning her shows into both a celebration and a statement of solidarity.

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ day from 7220 Counseling Coalition!

We want to recognize the indigenous communities who have lived on this land. We want to honor the rich history that comes from our brothers, sisters, and 2 spirit family from the Shoshone, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Ute, Lakota and Crow, along with many other Native tribes. We stand alongside, honor, and advocate for the all of those whom were here before us; and removed from Mother Earth.

Please, if you feel inclined to learn more, you can do so here:

With the help of scholars, tribal elders and educators on the Wind River Reservation. we offer more about the history and culture of the Eastern Shoshone, Northern Arapaho and other tribes of the region.
