Benefits of Dr. C Coudray style Acupuncture

1) The palpatory diagnostic methods in this style of acupuncture offer the practitioner an instant
measure as to the effectiveness of their treatment. Both the acupuncturist and the patient will
have instant feedback as to how well the treatment is working because the same reflexes which
are used to determine the best treatment for a patient are also the gauge by which the treatment can
be assessed.

2) Dr. Coudray Style acupuncture offers a totally new way to look at patients. It combines classical Chinese
medical principles with modern pathophysiology in a way that facilitates the understanding and brings
out the best in both.

3) Within the treatment methods used in Dr. Coudray Style acupuncture, there is a technique suitable for any
patient. As a rule the needling methods are shallow and virtually painless, using the smallest
gauge needles. However, for the patient who needling is contraindicated, there are numerous non-
invasive techniques that are highly effective. The use of diodes, magnets, and other techniques give
the practitioner many options with which to treat the most difficult patient.

4) In many ways, Dr. Coudray Style acupuncture takes the practice of acupuncture from the
ambiguous realm of theory into the direct experience of reality. There is no more wondering
week after week if the points you are using for their supposed actions and effects will work for the
diagnosis which seemed so plausible on paper. If the reflex is
not present, or if specific treatment points do not significantly change the reflex quality, then some
other more viable treatment option must be found. Both the practitioner and the patient always have
some immediate indication as to the effectiveness of the treatment.

As the world stirs with new life, we wanted to take a moment to reach out with something more personal Our 30 years anniversary

To Our Existing Patients — A Heartfelt Message
The past few years have tested us all. Since 2019, we’ve lived through a global pandemic, rising costs of living, and growing uncertainty in our healthcare system and the world at large. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum or what your personal story has been, the undercurrent of stress and change has been undeniable.

Catherine founded the clinic in 1995, with the vision of using the medicine she had learned and would continue to learn from her master teachers to help people restore their natural ability to heal. Within the walls of Coudray Acupuncture, we have worked with over 2,500 of you yearly who have wanted to take control of your health and delivered over 75.000 treatments.
Countless times, we have witnessed so many of you leaving our office with renewed hope, optimism, drastically better health and vastly increased functionality. It’s not uncommon for us to get referrals from patients we have literally treated years ago. We’ve seen chronic pain disappear, fertility return, and people age with grace and vitality.

As many of you remember, we, Dr. Coudray stayed open during Covid-19 by investing heavily in state of the art indoor filtration and worked with our power herbal system to diagnose and treat over >350 patients with active acute infections both before and after vaccines were available... Many of you came to us as a last hope, and it has been one of our life’s greatest honors to walk with you through the process of real, lasting healing.

We’ve also felt the impact of the world’s unrest. As a small clinic, where we offer and prescribe our herbs, and we are not immune to rising costs or the challenges of sustaining a healing space in an unpredictable time. After much thought and careful planning, we want to inform you of a small increase in our pricing beginning this season:

Focused & Pediatric Treatments: $85 Initial visit

Regular 30-Minute Treatments follow-ups: $70.00

Packet Treatments 5 or 10tx. @ $300.00or $500.00

We remain deeply committed to offering you world-class care with as little treatment as possible, always with an eye toward efficiency, results, and respect for your investment in your health. Thank you for continuing to entrust us with your care. We don’t take anything lightly.

To Those Who Are New Here — A Path Forward
It’s a disorienting time to be alive. The headlines, the waitlists, the rising costs—it can all feel like too much. And maybe, like many of our patients before they found us, you’re asking: Is there another way?
We know there is.
We begin with a no-cost consultation with our Dr. Coudray — This is a time for you to truly be heard, to tell your story without being rushed, and to ask questions without judgment. These consults are usually available within a day, and first appointments are often scheduled within the week.

Your initial visit includes a deep dive into your health story and your first acupuncture treatment. This visit lasts about an hour and costs $85.00. Most patients notice a meaningful shift after this session. Your second appointment is a week later, lasting 45 minutes at $70.00

For the majority of our patients, just 4–6 weekly visits bring about noticeable, lasting change. The classical herbal medicine is often added to bolster the acupuncture results, accelerate healing, or to achieve results not possible without extensive and repeated acupuncture sessions. Full treatment (including herbs) typically ranges between $100–$150 per visit during that first month.

After this intensive start, most patients need treatment only every other week, then monthly, until their body reaches a state of balance and independence. Most complete care within 5–6 months.

We ask: how does that compare to your deductible, your copays, or the monthly cost of prescriptions that only mask symptoms?

Our model is different. It’s slower, deeper, and designed to get you out of the cycle of chronic illness—not just to manage it, but to resolve it.

We’re here. The door is open I remain as committed as ever to helping you take control of your health,

If you’re ready to feel seen, heard, and truly supported on your healing journey, I would be honored to meet you. Whether you’re at the end of your rope or just beginning to wonder if there might be another way, we invite you to take this first step.
New Patients are Welcome
In-Network with most health-insurance carriers, AETNA, CIGNA, Mountain Health COOP, VA-Tricare with a referral, United Healthcare, (not covered, Medicare, and Medicaid)

Dr. Catherine Coudray Lic. AP

This is cool-research confirming what we already saw in clinical results based on what the ancients knew. Of course it applies to non-electro acupuncture too!

"Taiwanese researchers discovered acupuncture triggering stem cell release healing damaged organs naturally. Scientists at China Medical University found that electroacupuncture at specific meridian points stimulates bone marrow to release mesenchymal stem cells into circulation, which then migrate to injured organs and promote tissue repair. This mechanism explains acupuncture's therapeutic effects through measurable biological processes rather than placebo.
Traditional Chinese medicine has used acupuncture for thousands of years, but Western medicine dismissed it as placebo due to lack of biological mechanism. Taiwanese researchers using advanced imaging and cellular tracking discovered that needle stimulation at specific points triggers measurable stem cell mobilization—providing the first clear biological explanation for acupuncture's effects.
Electroacupuncture (needles with mild electrical current) at ST36 (Zusanli point) and GV20 (Baihui point) causes a 300% increase in circulating stem cells within 24 hours. These mobilized stem cells express homing signals drawing them to damaged tissues—injured liver, heart, kidneys, or brain—where they differentiate into organ-specific cells and release healing factors. It's like acupuncture triggers the body's internal repair dispatch system.
Stroke patients receiving electroacupuncture within 48 hours of stroke showed 40% better functional recovery than those receiving standard care alone. Liver cirrhosis patients showed reduced fibrosis markers. Heart attack survivors demonstrated improved cardiac function. The mechanism is entirely biological—traced stem cells from bone marrow to damaged organs. Skeptical Western physicians are reconsidering acupuncture given this mechanistic evidence. We're discovering that ancient healing practices work through sophisticated biological mechanisms science is only now capable of detecting."

The public is warned about the risks of dry needling, which is not acupuncture, following an incident where a young lady's lung was punctured, raising concerns about the qualifications of DC and PT practitioners.
